Lokomotiv Liverpool was formed in 2011 to compete in the BFA Cup - national team competition. We are a group of foosball players loosely based around the Merseyside area, and organise monthly competitions at Rileys in the City Centre on the first Monday of the month for beginner and amateur players, contributing towards the BFA North West Regional Championships.
We welcome new players wanting to improve their game, or simply to play for fun. Our first team competes in the North West division of the BFA League Championships, but locally we want to encourage more people to play, and to form a league between companies and pubs/clubs in the area for beginner and amateur-level players only.
Attendance at our monthly competitions is growing as the word spreads, where we offer free entry and free play during the session, with medals to the winners.
At elite level our members have organised the Liverpool Open international tournament annually since 2007, attracting top players from around the UK and Europe. Our team was runner-up in the 2013 British Foosball Association League Championship.
